If you want to transfer a domain from one registrar to another, you will need a unique transfer authorization code, which may be called by multiple names – an EPP authorization code, an Auth code, a domain password, and so on. All these names denote the very same thing – a code that the domain registrant gets from the present domain name registrar and provides to the new one during the order process. Without an authentic code, a domain transfer process cannot be initiated and this is one of the security measures against unapproved transfer attempts used with all generic and with most country-specific extensions. For better safety, the code contains numbers and/or special characters and is case-sensitive, so if you’d like to transfer one of your domains, you have to present the new registrar with the right code.

EPP Transfer Protection in Cloud Web Hosting

If you have a cloud web hosting, you’ve registered a domain with us and you want to transfer it, you can get its EPP authorization code with no more than several mouse clicks. When you log in to your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and go to the Registered Domains section, you’ll see all the domains that you’ve registered through our company shown in alphabetical order. To the right of each domain, you will notice a mini EPP icon for all Top-Level Domain extensions that require an EPP code in order to be transferred between registrar companies. Clicking on the icon will send the EPP code to the registrant’s email address straight away. In the very same section you can also see and ultimately change the email address, if the one there is not valid any longer.

EPP Transfer Protection in Semi-dedicated Servers

In case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with our company and you have registered a domain name that you wish to transfer, you can obtain the EPP transfer code astonishingly easy through the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will administer both your domain names and your account. If you visit the Registered Domains section, you’ll notice an EPP logo to the right of your domain names, as long as their TLD extensions support transfers between registrars with such a code. All codes are sent automatically by our system to the registrant’s email address to make sure that only the owner of the domain name can see this info. In case the currently entered address isn’t valid, you can change it with a few mouse clicks without leaving this section of the Control Panel. The change is instantaneous, so you’ll be able to request the EPP transfer code for the given domain name right away.
